UNSW王大伟研究员学术报告:离子扩散自优化的电化学电容材料

  报告题目:The Evolution of Ionic Network in Electrochemical Capacitive Materials: from Precast to Self-Adaptive

Electrochemical capacitors (ECs) provide appealing energy storage solutions, because of their higher power density, better safety and greater life span relative to lithium batteries. The traditional electrode materials for ECs are porous materials. Porous carbons, such as activated carbon, carbon nanotubes, mesoporous carbons, and graphene, are being widely used for ECs for fundamental research and industrial application. A long-lasting question, maybe also a challenge, is the rational design and control fabrication of the porous texture of carbons for the purpose of improving the EC performance via facilitating the inner-pore mass transport. Despite the great achievements in the past decades, most of the porous materials possess pre-designed and precast porous networks that may not possess the right pore size, symmetry, wettability, etc. for ECs with various configurations.

The search of ‘smart’ materials that can automatically adapt with the electrochemical capacitive environment is in its infancy. The solvent swelling of two-dimensional (2D) materials (such as graphene, MXene, etc.)has shown great impact for transformative technological advances for ECs via the supramolecular engineering of the flexible 2D ionic spaces.

This lecture will firstly review the history of the design of precast ionic network in porous carbons for ECs, and then discuss the latest progress in the synthesis of self-adaptive ‘liquid-in-solid’ 2D supramolecular clays for ECs.

 

主讲人简介

王大伟博士现为澳大利亚新南威尔士大学高级讲师,UNSW校聘Scientia研究员。他的主要研究领域为先进能源材料(包括二维超分子材料等)和新型能源技术(超级电容器,金属/硫电池,金属离子电池,水系液流电池和燃料电池等)。他作为项目负责人已获得超过300万澳元的政府和企业研究经费。他目前发表100余篇论文,8项专利(2项国际专利),20余次邀请及主旨报告。他的论文总引用次数超过13,000次,h因子为40(谷歌学术)。他曾获得2012年昆士兰大学Foundation Research Excellence Award2013年澳大利亚Scopus工程技术领域年度青年科学家奖(Scopus Young Researcher of the Year Award in Engineering and Technology
